Checkpoints are marked with NFC tags or QR codes that the guard scans as they reach them. Each scan records the time and the phone's GPS position, so the record shows the route was walked in order rather than signed off at the end of a shift. If a checkpoint is missed, the control room is alerted while there is still time to act.

Yes. Guards can patrol in basements, plant rooms, rural sites and anywhere else without coverage. Scans, reports and photographs are stored on the device and sync automatically as soon as a connection returns, with the original timestamps preserved.

Each guard's SIA licence expiry date is held on their record, and the system sends alerts at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before it lapses. A compliance dashboard shows current licence status across the whole workforce, which is what an SIA ACS audit asks you to produce. BS7858 screening records and documents are stored against the same profile.

Any reasonably current iOS or Android phone. The guard app is on the App Store and Google Play, and most operators run it on the guards' own handsets rather than buying dedicated hardware. Operators and clients use any web browser, so there is nothing to install in the control room.
